About the Position
The Head of Portfolio Management and Strategic Partnerships will lead portfolio strategy, business development initiatives, and partnerships to further the growth and financial success of the Immunoassay business unit. This is a key leadership role that will drive portfolio innovation and market growth strategies to integrate new technologies into the product pipeline. This senior leader will have a strategic approach to business development and contract negotiations and will identify opportunities for M&A, licensing agreements, and partnerships. They will lead and provide strategic guidance to a team of individual contributors focused on business development, alliance management, product strategy and innovation. This is a highly visible position that will have a seat at the executive leadership table and will advance key growth initiatives to further the company’s position as a leader in the medical diagnostics space.
About the Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, engineering, or medicine. Master’s degree, Ph.D. and/or M.D. is preferred.
- Proven success leading portfolio strategy, product management, and business development initiatives within clinical diagnostics, medical device, or other regulated fields within healthcare.
- Expertise in identifying, developing, and executing growth strategies for complex portfolios in dynamic healthcare markets.
- Strong strategic business development skills with experience leading contract negotiations and licensing deals with strategic partners directly tied to business and financial success.
- Collaborative leadership style with demonstrated ability to influence and drive results in matrixed organizations.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Adept at communicating complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in clinical chemistry, immunoassay diagnostics, precision medicine, and/or companion diagnostics is a plus.
