About the Position

As a Vice President of Operations your role will be to manage the company’s relationship with their client who is a well respected health system in Central Florida. You will oversee the company’s financial performance and ensure that the company’s emergency medicine and hospital medicine physicians and nurse practitioners are hitting clinical goals that are agreed upon with the client health system. 

  • Provides management and support for assigned contracts.
  • Works to achieve client and company operating metric goals.
  • Knowledgeable about the requirements for each assigned facility and ensures contract compliance.
  • Serves as liaison between the company and the client regarding contractual questions or issues.
  • Facilitates assessment of client needs to offer/coordinate appropriate value-added services and innovation to client hospitals.
  • Contributes to development of annual budgets and is responsible for ongoing management of contracts to meet budget.
  • Supports and assists the Regional Medical Director in onboarding Facility Medical Directors. Ensures that there is an onboarding process and tools in place to orient new providers. May participate in onboarding as needed.
  • Supports and assists the Regional Medical Director in coaching Facility Medical Directors (FMDs) and providers.
  • Provides input to Group Presidents and EVPs in prioritizing contracts for Performance Improvement Consultants (PIC) resources and deployment. Participates in assigned PIC projects and accepts handoffs for ongoing follow-up.

About the Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical leadership or hospital operations role (CNO, VP of Operations, VP of Practice Management, VP of Physician Services, COO, etc.)
  • Strong experience within physician management
  • Experience managing a P&L and financial performance
  • Solid executive presence– this role will work closely with senior leadership and the C-Suite- both internally and with the client
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to have “crucial conversations” 
  • Results driven and ability to lead through transformational change
  • Ability to travel throughout Central Florida
